Reducing material consumption and recycling used materials - this is the best way to conserve resources. And we are consistently working on this.
Packaging Recycling
Our axiom: We are always thinking about where we can reduce waste. And where we can consistently recycle, when it is not possible to avoid it completely. For example, our shoe boxes are made mainly of recycled paper and are 100 per cent recyclable. Since we recycle all valuable materials such as transport packaging, PE, cardboard, cartons etc., several hundred tonnes of greenhouse gas are saved every year.
Climate-Neutral Marketing Materials
Climate-neutral printing and the use of FSC-certified paper (produced using resources from sustainable forestry) - we also attach great importance to environmental protection in our marketing materials. We cooperate with partners who implement this professionally.
Recycled materials - also for our shoes!
We also rely on recycling for our products. Here, for instance, all our Pius Gabor shoes have a layer of cork under the insole. This is obtained from the remains of the cork bark that falls off during the production of bottle corks. The bark is peeled from special oak tree trunks, the trees are not felled. Therefore, cork is a renewable raw material. This cork layer is both heat and cold insulating and ensures a pleasant, natural foot climate.

For some of our shoes, we use recycled soles made from rubber residues - this is another way of recycling production waste and conserving resources.
Many of our shoes have a recycled lining. The lining consists of a yarn made from 100 per cent recycled disposable PET bottles.
To save even more resources, we also use procedures for processing leather residues. To reuse materials time and again is an ongoing process for us, we are constantly developing and discovering new processes.
