Even though our company is globally active, the needs of our home regions are particularly close to our heart. For this reason, we support numerous projects and facilities at our locations.
Sports sponsorship
It is hardly possible to overestimate the importance of popular sport, especially as it conveys the fundamental values of social interaction and coexistence. Therefore, our commitment includes a wide range of clubs and institutions that promote sport for all.
In addition, we are the official outfitter of the Slovakian Olympic team as well as the namesake and sponsor of the Gabor Hall in Rosenheim. This hall serves as a multi-purpose hall for various sports and cultural events.
We are happy to promote mass and team sports, as for example here in Portugal.
For many years already, we have been supporting the handicapped athletes of the sports federation DJK Rosenheim.
What is more, we also sponsor the Slovakian Olympic team and provide them with shoes.
Cultural sponsorship
Art and culture have an important social function and are of great importance for our coexistence. They contribute to the diversity and self-image of people across the globe. Hence, the promotion of cultural projects is a matter close to our hearts.
Gabor is an official partner of the Salzburg Festival. Apart from this, however, we also support smaller cultural events and projects, such as the Mindelheim Jazz Festival or the Rosenheim Carnival Guard.

Support of charitable projects
As a company, we bear responsibility for our region. We are happy to support charitable projects with donations in cash or kind: Facilities for the disabled, clinics and cancer advice centres, or the Rosenheim handicap basketball team. Even campaigns such as "Geschenke mit Herz" (Gifts from the heart) can always rely on our active commitment.
Gabor Shoes AG already ceased delivering to Russia in March 2022. This was due to the war raged by Russia against Ukraine. Gabor’s head office is in Germany, its own production plants in Slovakia and Portugal. A lot of refugees flee to Slovakia in particular because it is right on the border with Ukraine. That is why the footwear manufacturer has also made donations of money and materials, helps integrate the refugees and, moreover, has already taken on some 30 refugees in its company as employees.
Our Portuguese employees have collected clothes, shoes, blankets, and school supplies for a relief action called "Mozambique".
