Ecological responsibility

Ecological responsibility is a part of Gabor’s company philosophy. It takes account of all materials used, starting from the leathers used right up to trimmings and feature details. All parts and every batch are checked before production go-ahead and during production. Gabor consistently ensures that all legal standards are met and furthermore has set its own ecological standards. Thus for reasons of allergy prevention for example exclusively materials are used that contain no nickel even though these are permitted by law in parts that have no direct contact with the skin.

Comprehensive laboratory tests give reassurance

The materials used are extensively tested in the in-house laboratories to all requirements. In addition the services of selected external testing laboratories in Germany and Switzerland (e.g. the Test and Research Institute Pirmasens or TUV Rheinland) are used for special tests. All results are archived in a database. Even years later it can be ascertained via the production number of each shoe what materials were used and how the results turned out.
